Are You Smiling or Scowling?

As I was reading Brendon Burchard’s blog yesterday, I came across a post that really grabbed my attention in the best way.
His post, simply titled: How to Have More FUN! is paired with a video that playfully (and pretty joyfully) breaks down each of his 5 points and fully explains how to have more fun in every aspect of your life.
From…
- Practicing presence,
- Journaling about great moments,
- Creating a joy-list,
- Looking for ways to bring the joy and fun,
- Artfully being a friend, and
- Seeking out ways to make someone’s day
…Brendon’s list really got me to dig deeper and ask: “Where can I turn up the fun for myself and everyone in my life?”
I was hooked. And, as I was imagining all the fun I’m going to have as I play with the un-tapped potential for his suggestions in my own life, I was taken back to a conversation we’d been having at Success Signature Labs last week.
One of our amazing members so willingly bore her soul as we dove into the concept of absolutely loving what you do for work. As we explored what that looks and feels like, the conversation shifted the energetic undertones of the language we use when describing… work.
For some, “work” is a terrible four-letter word that, when uttered, churns stomach acid and gets hearts racing. BUT, for those who are building the heart-centered businesses of their dreams, work is a reason to leap out of bed like a Disney princess and skip into that home office wearing an ear-to-ear smile.
Which are you?
Does work inspire a teeth-flashing grin or a brow-furrowing scowl?
If you’re the latter, it’s time to shift the energy behind that four-letter word and begin imagining what life would be like if you could really do what you love.
Imagine how you’d feel if you adored what you did every day and it just so happened to shower you with financial abundance…
What if you had no limitations? What would you WANT to be doing? What if, even in moments of dense emotion and stress, there was fun in your business? What would that feel like?
Guess what: you CAN be doing what you love and you actually have NO limitations.
You’re capable of doing what you love and wiping away any negativity behind work.
In fact, you can listen to the clip below as Jennifer leads you to actually change the energy behind the word!
